A new access junction to the site from the Formby Bypass will be created. This will be traffic light controlled, with dedicated right and left-turn vehicle lanes into and out of the site. There are traffic-light controlled crossings for pedestrians and cyclists.
The planning application will be supported by a Transport Assessment and a Travel Plan. The Travel Plan is intended to promote sustainable travel to the proposed development. A Travel Plan Co-Ordinator will be appointed to encourage people working and visiting the site to consider alternatives to using a car. Alternative measures include promoting walking, cycling, car-sharing and use of public transport.
